Access Breast Coil

The Access Breast Coil, with its 4-channel, phased array coil architecture, provides high quality imaging of the breast, chest wall and axillary tissue. Access is also optimized for parallel imaging and supports both bilateral and unilateral imaging.

Access’ open design allows for flexibility in performing interventional procedures by giving access from the lateral, medial and cranial-caudal directions. Interventional components include the grid method which provide breast stabilization and needle positioning. Interventional components support all needle gauge sizes and vacuum-assisted biopsy systems. Access also has an integrated lighting system for better lighting during interventional procedures.

Access’ design also focuses on patient ergonomics, allowing for enhanced comfort during both diagnostic and interventional exams. Positioning accessories, including an adjustable headrest with mirror memory foam chest pad and torso pad, relieve pressure on the sternum and provide customized patient positioning during acquisition of breast MRI studies and interventional procedures. A biopsy wedge pad allows the blocking of an aperture for unilateral and medial procedures.
